67,000 Can’t Be Wrong . . .

Well, it was a good day to go and help with the “Displace Me” event . . . 5000 showed up to sleep and our team really enjoyed the opportunity to help during the day. Over 67,000 showed up in total nationally to raise awareness of the 1.5 Million Northern Ugandans displaced by the war that rages on - It is truly inspiring to see so much passion for helping in so many people. If you want to get involved with other events any of us will be helping out with locally and internationally let me know, and check out www.invisiblechildren.com for info on other ways you can help, including building wells in Uganda . .

‘Ten years ago the Ugandan government forcibly evicted its Northern citizens from their homes—giving them 48 hours to relocate into camps that lack adequate security and insufficient provisions for survival. Today more than 1.5 million Northern Ugandans remain far from secure, suffering nearly 1,000 deaths per week due to the inhumane living conditions.”
