We Rolled a Snowball.

We rolled a snowball recently.ÂÂ
Not a literal one, but a metaphorical one. Because I grew up near the coastal towns of England we rarely had any snow accumulation, so when we did it was absolutely brilliant! Sledding, snowmen, and snowballs - we loved it all.ÂÂ
Then I got to attend a college in MA. For the first time in my life I was living in a place where snow was the norm for the winter . . . awesome! And I remember the Quad - a large open area, and when it snowed the whole area was covered. This particlular year some unnamed student had the great idea of rolling a snowball. I’m guessing they had no idea of the destiny of this particular one. They rolled it and left it there, and at some point, other students took on the idea and began to congregate and roll the ball further. Over time, the student collective all caught the fire and started to join in, creating a truly mammoth snow sphere that dwarfed all else ever made. The larger it got, the more others wanted to join in. It was awesome!
It’s funny. . . Someone had to act on the seemingly innocuous idea of rolling the snowball originally, and start. It grew to a certain size before it needed others to come alongside it and make it grow. As it grew, more and more caught the vision and joined in, until the snowball became legendary at college.
We rolled a snowball recently. We aren’t sure of its’ destiny; it’s still a small snowball right now.
But I see a couple of people starting to come and roll it around . . .

the snow is cold on my hands cause I have no gloves, but I’m still going to roll it alittle because it is fun and I want it to grow!
