Balancing Kiwis

Between 350,000 and 500,000 people marching in Dallas for the rights of illegal immigrants – this is the largest demonstration in the city’s history (See here for full story).  Now, I’m not making any statement about this either way, other than to say (as someone not born in the US) that I am so grateful to the US.

 

What do I think?  I think it is incredible that we live in such an amazing country – one that allows us to openly protest or endorse . . . one that allows us to vote, to impeach, to nominate . . . one that allows us to exercise freedom in thought, in faith, in life.  This is not so in many parts of the world. 

 

Please note - I’m not making ANY political points here . . . only saying how incredibly thankful I am to live here. 

 

As I drove to work this morning that word really sums how I feel.

 

Thankful.
